Welcome to the Pocono Photo Club...

Our mission is to encourage knowledge, skills and enjoyment of photography through monthly meetings, workshops, lectures and demonstrations encompassing all phases of photography.

The Pocono Photo Club consists of area professionals, advanced amateurs and those just beginning their journey into photography. Our members photograph a wide range of subjects including nature, landscape, macro, portraiture, sports and much more.

📣 Shootout at the Bank! Remember to upload your bank vault photos to: Dropbox Link

📣 If you haven't already seen your fellow member's pictures (43 framed photos) at the Middle Smithfield Community Center PPC Life In the Poconos Exhibition, the exhibit will be taken down on Monday April 29th between 9 AM - 5 PM. In case you cannot get to the center to see them in person, enjoy some photos from the event under Club Events.

📣 Heads up for the PPC upcoming photo exhibit "Nature Through Our Lenses" at Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center in June. Hanging will be June 3rd from 1 PM - 4 PM and there will be an artist's reception on June 8th 11 AM - 1 PM so be sure to get your photos ready!

📣 Also on June 8th from 3 PM - 8 PM COME ONE COME ALL to the annual PPC Summer Picnic! Hope to see everyone there (Brodhead Creek Park under the pavilion)!!

Featured Members Photos

This week's Featured Members Photos consists of ONE Featured Member - Amy Girardi. We normally select images from all of the recently submitted Member Albums to showcase on this homepage and leave it to you to go see the full albums and who posted them. Amy submitted an interesting album, Scenes from Lake Garda Italy, 2023 where some of the scenes were color images followed by monochrome versions of the same scene. It is so interesting, we are sharing that portion of the album with you here. Enjoy - and check out the full album in Member Galleries, Photo Album List.

Camera 101: Part 3

"Practice What We Have Learned"!

At the next Camera 101 class we will put to practice what we learned in our previous two classes. We will walk around the Pocono Heritage trail, taking pictures of plants, birds, nature, and hopefully the nesting Eagles!

The class will be again taught by Dave Butler from Stroudsburg Foto.

Bring your hiking shoes, camera, and memory cards. Also, CHARGE THOSE BATTERIES!

We will meet in the parking lot at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday May 14th, 2024.

"Nature Through Our Lenses"

The guidelines for the Exhibit are as follows:

Date of Hanging will be June 3rd 2024, between 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
No frame Size Limits.
3 - 5 images per member.
Must have hanging wire on back.
Submission form must be completed for each picture.
Name Tag on Each photo.
Pick Up date is before 4:30 p.m. June 28th 2024.
Volunteers to help hang would be appreciated.
Please contact Eric, Steen, or Sam if you have any questions.
Meet the artist date is June 8th from 11 - 1.

PPC Summer Picnic!

Brodhead Creek at the Hosko Pavilion
(near the Pond)

Saturday June 8th 2024

From 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Our annual summer picnic will be June 8th at the Brodhead Creek Park in East Stroudsburg (the same pavilion as last year).

Please bring a covered dish, refreshments or something special. We will have a signup sheet available at the next in-person meeting. Otherwise we will be sending out shortly a link that everyone can input what they are bringing. Stay tuned!

Also please bring a bag chair, your camera, and a lot of great stories.

2023 Photographer of the Year - Landscape Photography Category
